Dichroic Filter
Dichroic filters (color separation filters) are used in many applications that require the isolation of a range of visible light.
- More general applications include color enlargers and copiers as optical balance filters. - It may also be useful for applications where it is desirable to separate incident energy from two or more light beams. - The spectral curves below are displayed at normal incident angles, but for many applications that involve combining colors, it is preferable to use them in reflection mode at an incident angle of 45°. - The stringent manufacturing of these filters utilizes durable insulating films that show no degradation over years of use. - They are characterized by being very stable, with minimal efficiency loss over time.
